50th Annual Village Halloween Parade: October 31

It all started with a neighborhood walk in 1973. That’s when mask maker and puppeteer Ralph Lee and his family and friends would walk from house to house. Now, 50 years later, it’s one of the biggest Halloween parades in the world, with approximately 70,000 participants in costumes and around 2 million people coming to watch it every year. Even with its large size, it stays true to its grassroots origins and has art at the heart of it all.
